R-PODID

R-PODID is a KDT JU co-funded project developing advanced, cloud-free, short-term fault prediction for electric drives, power modules, and power devices.

By integrating embedded AI directly into power electronics, R-PODID enables real-time, 24-hour fault prediction for Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) power converters. The project also pioneers sensors to enhance reliability prediction in power modules.

With 33 partners collaborating, R-PODID’s innovations are being implemented across multiple power modules and validated through four real-world use cases, driving safer and more reliable power electronics for the future.
